High School Sports Center

As a result of Bartos Architecture’s pro bono help to the Saratoga High School Foundation fund drive currently under way, a proposed Sports Plaza (dubbed Falcon Center for the school’s football team) was presented to the District and Foundation.

Project Features:

• Plaza to serve a multipurpose use, from band, track and other events, including serving as a lunch arbor.

• Architectural features designed to enhance public attendance to events.

• State-of-the-art lighting and sound.

The mid-century approach, although novel in 1959, is not viewed as popular by the its students and families. Our approach to the Center was to work with the schools existng design intent, and yet provide a modernized sports complex that complements yet contrasts the school aesthetically.
